The Unique Strengths of Women Entrepreneurs

By Gazelle Simmons
No matter how long I’ve been working with a particular woman entrepreneur, I never cease to be amazed at how they can move from one area of their business to the next, while caring for a sick child and never think that what they are doing is remarkable.
Only someone who has done it can truly ever states just how important what they are doing is not just for their family but for their own well being.  There is something so rewarding in seeing that you can do things well despite the many challenges to do so.

Ri of {Ri} Photography, Come and Meet Her!

 Who Are You?

Ria of {Ri} Photography

 What is Your Business?

{Ri} Photography

Tell us why you came online!

I started blogging in October of 2009... right after I got married. It was a good outlet for me. Then... I officially started my photography business in December of 2009. My first wedding was March 2010. What a whirlwind since then. I was using my passion of photography to bless others on a larger scale and the more and more I did it... I got jazzed about it. Weddings scared me at first, but then I overcame that fear by just doing it! It was a huge blessing and each time I learn more and gain confidence!

We would love to know, what is your passion?

Jesus is my passion. People are my passion. Photography is the outlet in which I can put these two together. I pray that my photography would show the LOVE Jesus has for us through it. I love capturing moments that are priceless and just show SO much joy. Those are my favorite images! Those are the ones you will see on my blog/website!

Tell us Something Cool about Your Business.

Just recently I was given the opportunity to make my passion my full-time "job". It has been a blessing that God would faithfully plan out the perfect timeline for me to make this a career. I think that when God gives you something and you feel like you don't have "control" ... you then know that he is the one driving it! I felt that way when my previous job was doing layoffs due to the economy. I had a choice to "voluntarily" separate myself from the company and I had to pray and consider this as an option and it was clear that peace was leading me to choose this as a reality! This is a new season for me and I couldn't be more excited because I know it is what I am called to do!

One Final Thought,
If you have something you enjoy and are passionate about... why not ask God if it is something that you could make a business? It's all about starting somewhere and letting God do the rest! :) That is a hard thing to consider when it means stepping out... but it can be totally amazing in God's timing. I just want to encourage you to step out. Whatever that means for you! You never know until you try. You have a 100% failure rate if you don't try... {not my quote}. Bless you in your endeavors online or wherever that is!

Meet Ri of {Ri} Photography! Check out her photo blog and stop by her Facebook page. You won't regret it!

Kristen Keene, The Mom Coach

I am so excited to introduce you to our first featured friend here at Sharing the Pages of life. Kristen Keene, The Mom Coach. I met Kristen through blogging and she has been a source of joy and encouragement to me over the past few months! Get to know her via Facebook, her blog and her website. Let's share some life!

Hi! I’m Kristen at and the founder of The Mom Coach, LLC.  I am a Professional Life Coach with a passion to help strengthen families by equipping women with tools that bring healing and restoration into their life.  I am committed to helping, supporting, and encouraging moms to live victoriously so they can leave a legacy to their children and the generations to come.
This passion was born out of years of turmoil and low moments in my life. I can relate a lot to the poem, Footprints.  At the lowest moments of my life, I was always wondering where Jesus had went; however, unknowingly to me, He was with me the entire time. He carried me through some very rough times in my life. Through these rough times, God showed me that I am the one that must change in my circumstances.  I must make changes in my life; changes in my thought patterns, as well as in my emotional, spiritual, and physical life.  Friends, I learned that even when our lives seem chaotic and we are living in a whirlwind we can still live life to its fullest.  I learned when we begin to make changes in ourselves; we begin to fully live the abundant life God has in store for us.
At The Mom Coach, we assist women with making the changes they need to live the life God has called them to live.  We provide groups for mothers and grandmothers to help strengthen their relationship with God and themselves.  We help bring healing in a woman’s life through self-discovery and spiritual renewal.  Our group’s help women connect with who God created them to be and assist them into developing a deeper more intimate relationship with Christ.  We also offer individual life coaching to help women learn how to make changes in their life so they can truly begin living a victorious life.  I would love to connect with you. You can find me on Facebook ( or through my website ( Thanks and I look forward to meeting you!
